The United Nations Development Programme, Inter-Agency Procurement Services Office (UNDP/IAPSO) in cooperation with UNDP country offices and other UN agencies involved in crisis prevention and recovery activities invites qualified companies to express their interest in providing a wide range of product categories as outlined below:
Interested potential suppliers should forward their expressions of interest, including the following documentation:
--A profile of the company, including relevant experience in supplying similar items
--At least five customer references including: project, country, products included, and a copy of the invoice provided
--List of international quality assurance certificates held by the company
--For dealers, official authorization letter issued by relevant manufacturers
--Financial reports for 2003, 2004 and 2005 demonstrating the financial soundness of the supplier
Invitations to bid will be based on electronic tendering and any subsequent purchase orders will be issued in accordance with UNDP's rules and regulations for procurement.
Deadline for submission of expressions of interest: Saturday, 8 September 2006.
Electronic bids for the provision of the above products will be solicited from shortlisted companies. The purpose of this exercise will be to enter into long-term agreements with the successful bidders based on electronic catalogues.
It should be noted that the UNDP/IAPSO is not obliged to invite any particular supplier that has expressed interest in this project to participate in the subsequent tender process.
